Welcome

BlastStation-Workgroup is web-based 64-bit local BlastStation using HTML5 technology designed for small to mid-sized groups. Different from NCBI wwwblast or sequenceserver, BlastStation-Workgroup has built-in job scheduler, which enables stable blast searches without overloading the server, even if multiple users submit blast jobs at once.
 

Major features

  • BLAST search will be performed on the server. Seach results will be viewed on user's PC using standard browsers.

Requirements

  • Server: Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later with 64-bit Intel processors.  Ubuntu 10.04, 11.10, 12.04,CentOS 6.0, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.1 with 64-bit Intel processors. At least 2GB RAM and 1GB free disk space.
  • Client Browser: FireFox 4.0, Google Chrome, Safari 5.0 or later on any platform including Macintosh, Windows, and Linux.
