Mac Version

Final version: 4.0

macOS 10.13, 10.14, 10.15, 11, 12, and 13

The Mac release was built for Intel-based Macs. It is not native to Apple Silicon and will not be updated for future versions of macOS.

It may run through Rosetta on some Apple Silicon systems, but this has not been certified or guaranteed. A native Apple Silicon edition was never released, and none is planned.

Windows Version

Final version: 4.0

Windows 10 and Windows 11

A working Windows installation may continue to be used on its current system. This is the final release and will not receive compatibility updates, new features, or bug fixes.

One-to-one technical support is no longer available. We may be unable to respond to questions about installation, operation, error messages, or operating-system compatibility.

Basic Use of the Final Release

  1. Select the FASTQ file to convert.
  2. Choose a destination for the resulting FASTA file.
  3. Start the conversion and wait for processing to finish.

These instructions are preserved for reference and do not indicate compatibility with current operating systems.

Options for Existing Users

  1. Keep using the current system
    Back up the installer, license information, settings, and data in more than one secure location.
  2. Move to another conversion tool
    We do not recommend replacement products or provide migration, data-conversion, or third-party software support.
  3. Maintain or port the software in-house
    Eligible corporate, university, and research-institution customers may inquire about an as-is source code license for internal maintenance or porting. Technical support is not included.
